Community Workshop: Making Cookies for Gifts

Saturday Afternoon Community Workshops are offered FREE to our Rabun County community.

In this workshop, participants will gain hands-on experience creating a variety of cookies with different tastes, textures, and shapes in order to put together a gift box that is pleasing to both the palate and the eye. Just in time for the holidays!

All experience levels are welcome.


ELIGIBILTY
: Your primary address must be in Rabun County in order to attend this workshop for free. Upon arriving, you will be asked to show ID with your address.

  • Space is limited to 8 participants.

  • Each participant must register separately.

  • Open to local creatives over the age of 12.

  • Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult. Minors will not be asked for ID; only adults.

This workshop is offered for free only to members of our Rabun County community. If you don’t live in Rabun County but would like to attend a community workshop, email the Hambidge Office at office@hambidge.org.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADER

LORI GILLESPIE has been an avid baker and home cook for more than 40 years. After retiring from a career as a counselor in the state prison system, she turned her cooking talents into a profession and became the Hambidge Center’s chef. She’s been serving delicious, nutritious, and creative meals - and desserts! - to Hambidge residents for over 7 years.
