“Experiencing the creative concentration at Hambidge practically yielded a month's work of creating within the span of the residency's two weeks. The freedom and isolation to focus intensely on my studio practice created an environment that I would be unable to access while working amongst the constant demands of my regular day-to-day. There were days that I could work an uninterrupted 10-12 hours in the studio; and having that, mixed with the camaraderie and interactions engaging the other Hambidge fellows, was an experience that I revere and treasure for the rest of my life. The generosity, time, and support of the Hambidge staff and residency is truly inspiring. I am humbled and thankful to have spent two weeks with this remarkable organization, and hope that I will be able to return in the future.”
